Flirt, Meredith and Pumpkin – a puppy playtime video!

I can’t believe it’s almost time for the puppies to go to their new homes. I’ve been spending as much time as possible with small groups of them, getting in one on one playtime with the extended family.

Here’s a quick video of Flirt, Meredith and Pumpkin, hanging out with their mom, Finn and Madge. Notice how fabulous Finn is with the puppies – he puts up with untold amounts of stuff from them. Good boy, Finn!

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Pumpkin was downstairs playing with Billie, so I thought I’d snap a few photos. More of the entire crew some time later this weekend.

French Bulldog puppy party time!

These adorable little chunk muffin French Bulldog babies are running me ragged! I’m going to need at least two new washing machines before this is all done (we already one pair already!).

Guess what makes up for all of that laundry? Puppy parties! That’s what we call it when we put all of the puppies down on the floor and just lie there while they crawl all over you. If every sad person in the world could have one puppy party a week, soon there’d be no more sad people left 🙂

Here’s the latest video of our gorgeous bunch of monkey babies:

Oh, and if you’re not already looking at their photos, they’re over here, on Facebook (you don’t have to have a Facebook account to look at them):

I know it’s hard to believe, but two of these kids are still looking for their new homes – Wally, the fat little Brindle boy, and either Pumpkin the pied boy or Meredith the black masked fawn girl (Olga gets to pick!). Learn more here.

Corgi Jailbreak

When Hanna came home, one of the first things I did was to borrow a mastiff sized crate to keep her in overnight. Thankfully, Hanna was housebroken in a record fast period of time, which is good, because she greatly prefers to sleep on the leather sofa, with her head hanging off the side.

This left the crate free for us to move Billie into, along with her litter box and her collection of stuffed toys and stolen work socks (she likes to grab them out of the laundry room, and bury them underneath her bed).

Every night, I would kiss Billie on the nose, and tuck her into bed with a few cookies for snacks, or maybe a small dish of food (babies need a nosh in the middle of the night, is my reasoning). I’d  lock the crate door, of course – a living room holds an entire world of trouble for puppies to get into.

The trouble came to Billie anyways, because almost every morning I was getting up and finding her either wandering around the living room, or sleeping curled up next to her mother, Bunny, in the big dog bed in front of the bookcase.  After a week of this, I was starting to think I was either senile, losing my mind or that I had a dog who was some sort of canine prodigy escape artist.

Turns out, it was that last one.

Billie’s Diary – Entry One

Since it has been brought to my attention that almost all great Divas keep diaries, I thought I’d give this whole ‘blogging’ thing a try. It’s not easy typing with paws instead of hands, but it beats trying to hold a pen without a thumb.

I’ve been keeping myself busy lately by trying to advance my education. This week, I managed to combine physics and Physed – not bad for a puppy, if I do say so myself.
