Bullmarket French Bulldog Breeders

Kairos French Bulldogs – Scam Artists, Thieves and Liars

An update: Thank you to everyone for your support, your emails and your phone calls. As of now, both the website and the Facebook page of this person are down, which is pretty much the best we could hope for – and faster than I’d expected, too. She’s crying about how it was ‘all a mistake’, but we all know that’s just code for “it sucks that I got caught”.

Lesson learned – do not underestimate the power of social media. It can definitely be used for good.

Again, thanks for everyone’s support. Now I can tell Sean he doesn’t have to drive to Peterborough with a baseball bat after all, and we can spend the lawyer’s fees on a nice celebratory dinner.

In 21 years of breeding French Bulldogs, I do not think I have ever been as angry as I am at this moment.

I have had photos stolen off of my website before, but NEVER to the blatant extent that these conniving, conning scam artists have done.

Better yet, don’t give them the traffic, and just have a look at this screen cap –

Kairo French Bulldogs are scammers, thieves and liars

Stolen photos on the Kairo French Bulldog website

Anything look familiar? It should, because EVERY SINGLE photo except for the one photo circled in red is of my dogs (and even more infuriatingly, four of them are now deceased).

That’s my couch. My basement. My yard. My whelping room. My dogs.

Many of you knew my beautiful Tessa, who passed away last year at fifteen. That’s her, in the second photo, sitting with my beautiful Ellie, whose ashes we scattered at Cherry Beach.

The cream in the next photo? My lovely Mae, who I held last week as I watched the vet relieve her suffering.

The little puppy with the stick? That’s Maggie M’s Sushi.

On the couch? Sushi’s sister, Penelope, along side Ellie and Sailor.

The dog with the monkey in its mouth? That’s Sailor, with Mr. Monkey, her ‘honorary third puppy’.

The two little puppies that these MONSTERS say are out of Sushi? One of them was my baby boy, who passed away at fifteen days old as I held him in my hand.

Actions really do speak louder than words, and this is no ‘accidental borrowing’ of a few photos – the claim that most thieves make when caught in the act. These scammers INTENTIONALLY stole my photos, re named the dogs in them, and claimed them as their own.

If their ethics are so lacking in this respect, what does that say about the rest of their behavior?

I will be posted this EVERYPLACE, and I’ve already contacted both their web host, and my lawyer. If you’re in the Toronto area, these con men have a ‘partner’ on the French Bulldog board who has been pimping their puppies for them, and they’re apparently also all over Kijiji.

They’re in Ontario, and less than three hours away from me.

Even ballsier – they’ve been peddling their puppies on the Toronto French Bulldog meet up group discussion board. Y’know, the board for the meet ups that HALF THE DOGS IN THOSE PHOTOS have been to, numerous times.

Stupid, or just pathological liars. Hard to tell sometimes.

Wow. Also: WOW. Not only did they steal your photos and pass them off as their own dogs, they went to the elaborate effort of making up captions for each, including (I presume) made-up names for the dogs! Do they actually sell puppies or could this simply be a mentally ill person with computer skills?

Unfortunately, they really do sell puppies. I can only assume that they’re sending prospective purchasers photos of my dogs. I wonder if they even went out and bought a blue leather couch?

In addition to contacting your lawyer, you could also get Revenue Canada AND the RCMP involved if you really want to sock it to them. They do state that they are selling unregistered purebred dogs. And I’m sure they aren’t claiming the income from the sales of their dogs either.

Be sure to print off copies of each page of their website and any other pages you may find where they have posted for proof of litters, etc.

Good luck – I hate con men!

I’ve seen photos stolen before, but this is truly brazen. And let’s not forget their “Dog Trainer” on their website. You know the one who cannot provide any credentials that she has had any schooling in dog behavior or training, other than parroting back Cesar Milan pack leader/dog psychology mumbo jumbo. You know their dog trainer who broke her legally binding contract with the reputable breeder who she purchased her Frenchie from. Birds of a feather flock together.

Good luck shutting these dirtbags down

As awful as it is that your pictures have been stolen and posted as their own it really stings that they did this to Mae. We all shed tears as you lost Mae so recently and now I feel they have defiled her memory, along with your other deceased dogs.

Karma isn’t going to be too happy about this. If I were them I’d remove them before what goes around comes around!

    Ugh!

I KNOW you shouldn’t have to, and I know it’s a ton of work, but maybe you need to start watermarking your photos? Ruffly Speaking has a good tutorial on it (I assume, since Photoshop and I have never met), but it would help to fight asshats like this.

Also, I’m good with power tools, and live near a really big lake if you need a clean-up crew after you deal with them 😉

Well the site is now down…..I would definetely be contacting RCMP and for sure Revenue Canada…people like these make me sick. I guess you are going to have to copyright all your photos. Sad huh…remember the Aurora breeder that had the pic of Penelope? I thought that was bad….these ones are a thousand times worse. Shameless assholes!

Holy crap.. that’s insane!! My friend Don took that picture of Sushi when she was just little and all brand new, but I bet he still has the original if you ever need any kind of evidence like that. I also have a burned CD from him with that photo, plus many others that most likely has some sort of time stamp on it from when the photo was burned onto the CD. It’s almost 5 years ago now, so that may help? I dunno.. I’m stunned. If there’s anythign I can do, you let me know.

Glad to see that the site was taken down. I think you should still consider legal action. Any idea of how long their site was up and running?

They really need to learn a lesson here so it won’t happen again.

You could always take them to small claims court… just a thought.

As the old saying goes “Don’t get mad, get even”.

wow, they are so stupid, first of all they must know that even if you resisted the baseball bat ideas we all support, you have friends and some of us are a bit sparky… speaking just for myself i am hormonal often and like to use my rage in constructive ways..hurting these jokers could be considered a karmic teaching even and surely thats constructive???? right???
