Friday Zen – Forever Young
In my mind’s eye, this is how Tessa and Hammer will always look. If I concentrate on this photo long enough, I find I can achieve something which will, for now, feel as close to zen as I can currently imagine being.
i love you much(most beautiful darling)
more than anyone on the earth and i
like you better than everything in the sky-sunlight and singing welcome your coming
although winter may be everywhere
with such a silence and such a darkness
noone can quite begin to guess(except my life)the true time of year-
and if what calls itself a world should have
the luck to hear such singing(or glimpse such
sunlight as will leap higher than high
through gayer than gayest someone’s heart at your eachnearness)everyone certainly would(my
most beautiful darling)believe in nothing but love

I am so sorry for you loss! It looks like Tessa had a great life, full of love and family and friendship. She was as lucky to have you as you were to have her.

What a beautiful poem – perfect to celebrate the life and mourn the loss of a beautiful girl.
Much love,
Maggie, Lola and Sushi <3<3<3
Hammer never completely died. So Tessa won’t either.
That’s beautiful Carol, I was looking at Rumble today and he definetely has his great grandma’s eyes. They say time heals, but not completely, the pain lessens but never goes away, it’s been 12 yrs since I lost my special boy on the vets operating table. Not a day goes by I don’t think of him.
Thinking of you…..
