Billie goes to a dog show

I was feeling stir crazy on Sunday after having spent four straight days staring at a computer monitor, so Billie and I decided to go and visit her daddy, Stoli, at the Fergus Dog Show. The Fergus Show has baby puppy classes, which makes it acceptable to bring younger pups onto the show grounds. Since Billie is up to date on her shots, off we went for an adventure.

Billie has never been to a show before – in fact, until yesterday, Billie had never been anyplace before, other than the backyard and a quick walk to the mailbox and back.

Promeris Flea and Tick Control – Dangerous, but Still for Sale

A newsgroup post gave me a heads up that Pfizer has suspended production of Promeris, their popular flea and tick preventative. Promeris has also been marketed as a treatment for Demodectic mange (demodex).

As announced in an article on Veterinary Practice News, a recent study has linked Promeris with Pemphigus foliaceus (PF), a serious autoimmune disease characterized by lesions on the skin, nose and ears.

Teddy the French Bulldog Super Model

 

Well, we knew it had to happen sooner or later – Dapper Mister Theodore, aka Teddy, aka Bullmarket Absolut To Catch a Thief, has finally made his catwalk debut as a model. To be more precise, Teddy debuted as the new “face” of Golly Gear, the world’s best store for small dogs and the people who love them.

For now, Teddy’s delightful photos are gracing the departments area of the Golly Gear Facebook page, but with looks and charm like his, can it be long before the great fashion houses of Paris and Milan come calling? Continue reading →
